I saw that pic that someone put up in the other thread with Harry, Ron & Hermione riding on it (presumably the one from the Gringotts Vault). It occurred to me that it would be interesting if they had Norbert guarding the vault, and that's the dragon they meet!
Might as well tie up ALL the loose ends, like they do with Grawp.

How would Norbert be old and blind? Does hanging around goblins lead to premature maturity?

Wellllll, I understand what yer sayin'. I was jsut sayin' that Yates loves to adapt things...a blind Norbert would be interesting. he goes from dangerous pet to ally, well sort of. Then there could be more character development of Norbert, so we can understand his motivations, what his carerr goals were in choosing Gringotts, whether he remembers his adoptive parent and parents friends? Is he really just a killing machine? or was it because he was abused in the egg? What would Charlie say about it?

I hear what you're saying. Buuut, Yates does like to adapt things. So a blind Norbert might be an interesting take on the character. Then that would let us really get to know Norbert. Is he really a killing machine at heart, or was he abused in the egg? Does he remember his adoptive parent and friends? Why did he choose Gringotts as a career?
More seriously. I'm very interested in how the dragons are portrayed in this next film. It's a pretty exciting sequence, and it will be also be fun to compare the technology to the later "Smaug" model we'll get in The Hobbit.
