Warner Brothers issued a press release Jan 19 naming acclaimed British TV director David Yates as director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
This will be Yates' first Hollywood feature, but he's worked extensively in UK TV. He's directed episodes of BAFTA-winning shows like The Young Visiters, State of Play, The Way We Live Now and The Sins.
Warners says that production on Phoenix is set to start in England in January 2006.
