I've been wondering what the choir was singing (sounded vaguely familiar) so I looked it up and realized it's from Act IV of Shakespeare's "Macbeth." The lyrics go like this:
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble--
Something wicked this way comes
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Something wicked this way comes.
I found that extremely fascinating and have been watching the trailer over (it sounds at first is if the choir is singing something different) and each time the lyrics sound more clear than the last.

:) That song is one of the things I really like about the trailer, and I think pulling Shakespeare in there actually kind of fits. Rowling likes to pull bits from different cultures and mythologies, so it makes sense that Alfonso would use some good ol' MacBeth in there.
Thanks for the lyrics, Flockman. :)

No problem! I agree, it fits in well with the trailer, especially the part with the dementor which is easily my favorite part of the entire trailer.

I get that song stuck in my head for an hour after watching that trailer, then the lyrics die out in my head and it's just the really neat "something wicked comes this way!" I rather enjoy having that tune stuck in my head :D

i knew that was shakespeare and i dont do a-level english :p
macbeth is possibly my favourite (ie, least crap and boring) shakespeare EVER.
i did really love another but i cent remember what its called... the one with the twins and one's a tranny (or something) and the other's a tranny (but in reverse) and its a bit confusing and there's a rich man and lots of sex. but it has been a while since i read/saw it so i'm probably completely off.
the above post had absolutely nothing to do with anything.... how the hell did i manage that?

Just as a side note; 'Midsummer Night's Dream' is my favorite shakespeare play.
But back to the subject at hand, the trailers!
I remember when I saw my very FIRST trailer for Sorceror's Stone at the cinema. That is still by far the best of them all :D

Well, reading the books over and over, until the film comes out sounds like a plan. But I've got such a long book list, it's crazy really, but thats on the next up part of my list.
I'll just keep watching the trailer until then, lol, it's better then nothing at all ;) :p

I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hoping that they dont overshow the previews and tire it out before May. Like they did with cat in The Hat, though I still want to see it....:p But if they do insist on showing it constantly, i hope they make a few more trailers to show off. ;)

I agree so very much!!! I do want to see the cat in the hat!! I don't want to see to much and spoil the entire movie.:p

Arrgh. I sort of saw the trailer this morning, but they played it at the end of an entertainment news show, with the show's credits running over it. How annoying!

big dark thing? Oh, well that must be sirius in his dog form...I dont know what other big dark thing you could be confused about. Well, unless I didn't see the same trailer as you did :p .....maybe I'll just go check it out (another excuse to watch it);)

Look REALLY closely at the part where Sirius is standing and pointing at something (probably wormtail) and you can see Ron lying in the bed behind him with his broken leg (at least, in the book it was broken.)
