Adding onto the sheer brilliance of katie's potions class thread. I am giving her all the credit mind you, im just building onto the plot so to speak.

Besides, it may be alot of fun, "accidentally" turning Xaz into a badger :D

Well, *Katie goes and sits in the back of the classroom, this time on her own. She brings out her wand and looks up at Professor McGonagall quite unsurely... she wants OWLs but she isn't very good with transfiguration.*
Whispers to Chiana making sure McGonagall can't hear them: Want to play a prank? I have a good history with those... but, knowing that you are so good with transfiguration... I need your help!

C: Prank? Weasley is my last name isnt it? Fred and George aren't the only ones in the family with a taste for mischief.

Yes, well, your thought on "beaver Xaz" got me thinking... Mutters so Xaz can't hear: first, we need to wait for a day that we are doing a fairly complex transfiguration, then, the night before that day you need to look it up in one of the OWLs books and practice so we know yo can do it. Then, I need to know what kinds of sweets and stuff he likes... droobles? bertie botts? Then i could tell him that you have that thing for him and he'll think it's so good that he'll have to go get it. Make sure you wait before you try doing your transfiguration and when he comes you can "accidently" point your wand at him while doing the spell... It may sound stupid... but I like it :-P

Chiana glanced around the room, slowly filling up with students. Xaz didn't seem to be amoung them quite yet

C:I dunno.....

k:Oh, common' Chiana! You know you want to. Ok, how about this as an excuse, remember last year Xaz turned your Owl into a canary with one of Fred and George's creams and it didn't change back! WEll, now is the time to get him back for it! Come one Chiana, I know you too well to know you cant turn down something as sneaky as this!

Chiana looked weary

C:wouldn't you rather turn Crabbe or Goyle into a beaver?

k:No! Then we'd have to deal with Malfoy, are you crazy?!

C: Well.......give me till next class ok? Let me think about it

k:*sigh*fine, I guess. But first thing-

C:yes,yes I'll have your answer

katie grinned happily

Ooh, Transfiguration! How exciting! :)

As the students sit down and talk amongst themselves, waiting for class to begin, there is still as of yet no sign of Xaz. The door swings open and Professor McGonagall strides into the classroom, and just as the door is about to swing shut behind her, Xaz sneaks in and finds himself a seat. He looks around furtively, before putting down his bag in a very suspicious manner and pulling out a quill and parchment.
Chiana and KatieBell turn in their seats to look at him, Katie whispering something in Chiana's ear as they both look at him consideringly. Xaz starts at seeing them notice him, narrows his eyes and looks suspiciously at them. Chiana waves and Xaz, unsure whether to wave back, starts to raise his hand in reply before his attention is drawn to the spectacle of Professor McGonagall changing into a cat and leaping onto her desk. Xaz grins.

X (to himself): "Wow, no matter how many times I see that, it never gets old! This class should be good!"

Realising she's late, Fleur rushes into the Transfiguration class clutching a stitch in her side, gasping for breath, she apologises to McGonagall, and finds a seat in the back, her face red from running, she pulls out her wand, parchment and text books

F: did i hear something about a prank?! tell me more!

haha, yes, someone who's willing! Well, now Chiana, you dun have to! Well, we can do it on two people... one is more dangerous, one is less... it can be Xaz or Malfoy... or you can choose someone...

She meanders over an empty table, sets her books down, and sends Malfoy back to Crabbe and Goyle

"Listen, sis, Malfoy definitely needs it. He's getting so uppity about Daddy Dearest being a DE. I wanna somebody to do that ferret trick again."

She looks at Chiana

"You're the best at Transfiguration. Katie, Star, and I can distract him. Whadda say? 'Cause you know it's got to be bad when even fellow Slytherins can't stand the slimy git!"

Xaz peers at the desk, looking closely at the cup he is supposed to try and grow legs from. He scratches his chin, then hesitantly waves his wand at the cup, which sprouts an arm and loudly challenges the cup on the desk next to his to an arm wrestle. Xaz scratches his head and grins sheepishly at his neighbour.

X: "I..er.. sorry about that..."

Hearing stifled laughter across the room, Xaz quickly looks over, scowling. Upon closer inspection, he finds that the giggling is coming from a group of girls, not looking in his direction at all. Curious, he notices a few glances stray from the huddle to another area of the classroom. Following the gaze, he breaks into a grin.

X: "Oh boy... he's really in for it! Poor guy!"

Katie walks to Xaz with a grin



Cute, Xaz, but you need to focus on doing the work... Katies expresssion turns quickly from a grin, to a straight face when she looks at the arm Xaz's cup sprouted I don't think it's very funny to make fun of the schoolwork we're doing... especially when OWLs will be happening


Looks again at the arm and smiles then takes her place beside Chiana and tries on her cup which sprouts one leg and hops off the desk with a sharp CRASH. Katie scowls at the cup and mutters: Reparo!

C: Turning the blonde weasel into a bouncing ferret would be my pleasure. she grinned and folded her arms across her chest

k: Well excellent, its settle then! katie tries once more to give her goblet two legs, of course she does. It hobbles about the desk walking absently into her bag

S: But we have to make some sort of distraction... to take McGonagall's attention away from the class.....she thought for a moment

BF:What about this? with a quick flick of her wrists and a mumbling of a charm and their goblets sprouted legs and shot from the desk tops. She had somehow charmed them into a spped demon race, alarming mcgonagall and the class. Papers and bags flew about, goblets were knocked over. Those that had sprouted legs joined in on the race. McGonagall went chasing around after them, most of the students watching

k: Bloody brilliant I must say

S: Here's your chance Chiana she pointed to Malfoy and his two brutes standing up, laughing madly at Mcgonagall, their backs to her

Chiana crept up behind the three boys, murmuring something under her breath. A sprout of orange light shot from her wand, surrounding the blonde boy. With a *pop* a small squirrel sat in it's place, it looked about the room then jumped off the desk.

C:No you dont Malfoy...with a quick floating charm she had the small rodent floating in the air on her command

S:Thought you were going to turn him into a beaver?

k:yeah!

C: Well a squirrel is less noticeable, and look the goons have no clue he's left.

sure enough the two blunks looked around stupidly for their leader, then turned to watch the commotion some more

C: care for a tap dance anyone? with a grin she forced Malfoy the squirrel to do a little jig across the desk top Anyone else care to join in?

Chiana continued to make Malfoy tap dance across the desk, till she was bored with it. she paused for a moment, then looked over at the other

C:Care for a turn girls?

Oh, definitely! Lemme have a go!

BF trains her wand on Squirrel!Malfoy and sends him sprinting across the room to Crabbe.

Squirrel!Malfoy begins nibbling Crabbe's knuckles. Crabbe swears loudly and sends Squirrel!Malfoy flying back across the room

Heh. Somebody else's turn!

Xaz grins at his goblet, which is hopping along on its hand yelling at the other goblets racing around the room, demanding they come back and wrestle like an honurable cup instead of tearing away across the classroom. He watches the race, fancying that BloodFire's is slightly in the lead and that Seamus Finnigan's is not far behind, judging from his cheering. He slides his gaze to the squirrel/Malfoy and, grinning, fishes in his bag and pulls out an acorn, which he waves in Squirrel Malfoy's direction.

X: "Here, Malfoy! I've got a nice nut for you!"

Squirrel Malfoy leaps towards him, bounding of the desks and heads of students causing more than a few screams. He bounds onto Xaz's desk, who gives him the nut and pats him on the head, grinning.

X: "Aww, there ya go you cute little scamp! Aren't you just the cutest little guy, yes you are!"

Katie takes her wand and says "Wingardium Leviosa" but for the acorn and lets it zoom in all directions while Squirrel/Malfoy chases it and fnally drops it on his head

Chiana sighs heavily, grinning, she lifts her wand bringing Malfoy back to her

C: Now listen here you slimy little excuse for a wizard. We hear one more word about your disgrace of a family, and the death eaters they are. OR, if I hear you ,Crabbe, or Goyle giving anyone trouble OR taletelling on snape...And next time you'll feel grateful for me just turning you into a squirrel and having a few laughs. And I promise you that you wont be able to sit on your broomstick a whole season. Got it your big git?

the tiny squirrel nodded enthusiastically

C:Good.

without another word she sent him flying back across the room, and with another *pop* he was back in his blonde human form. He turned back to her, looking furious, his robes all astray.
Chiana smiled at him, and motioned with her index finger to turn around. He quickly did so

C: Here you are Xaz. she tosses the acorn to him

C: I promise next time I turn him into anything, you'll be the first to play around with him.

About the room, parchments were strown everywhere. McGonagall had managed to stop the cups from racing. With a flick of the wand the room was clean and tidy, the goblets back on the desktops

M: I would certianly hope that next time I assign such an easy task, that you will not create mass chaos.

She shifted her cap properly onto her head

M: Now...lets begin again shall we?

She strode back to her desk, and promptly sat down. She shook her head, a small smile flickered across her lips. She seemed to supress a laugh

C: See, a piece of cake she whispered to katie

Xaz toys with the acorn, causing Draco to look very confused: part of him wanted to leap across the desk, take it from Xaz and nibble it, while part of him just wanted to sneer at it. Xaz grins at the evident confusion.

X: "My my, those girls are naughty.. have to remind myself never to cross them!"

Xaz scrawls a hopscotch pattern on his parchment for his cup to jump in, having successfully managed to grow legs on it. He leans on his elbow and watches his cup navigate the pattern really rather well, giving it a clap when it presents him with a little bow upon conclusion.
Xaz winks at his neighbour, who is looking impressed despite himself.


X: "Clever little cup, innit? I'm going to teach it how to skip next!"

Xaz rifles through his bag and pulls out a piece of string, grinning and leaning down to explain the process of skipping to his cup.

Perhaps in the long run, Chiana, but not immediately.. the fundamentals need to be taught first, and for that I'll do the holding the rope part! ;)

Satisfied his cup was listening, Xaz places a hand on either side of the cup and slowly swings the rope, grinning when the cup successfully jumps over it.

X: "Excellent, little guy! Now, you have to chant while you're jumping.. something easy to start with.. ready, repeat after me! Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts... good, good!"

Chiana watches, bemused, at Xaz puts his cup through its paces.

C :"Wow, it's taking to it well.. what's next, Xaz? Teach it to get the Daily Prophet each morning for you?"

Chiana grins at him, only to see him scratch his chin and look thoughtful. She rolls her eyes.

C: " I just had to suggest it, didn't I?"

Katie walks in the room for her next tranfiguration class... after what happened with Draco, she has been less into keeping to the rules. She walks over and sits next to Chiana.

K: That was a classic... "poor Malfoy" is going to remember that one for a very long while, my only worries are that he might go off and have Umbridge or Lucius Malfoy do something to us... now that Dumbledore's gone. Katie has a big look of concern on her face

Taps her wand (Pheonix Feather Redwood 8 3/4 inches :D I went to Ollivanders and got a new wand!) anyway, taps her wand on the goblet, and at that very instant, it sprouts two arms and two legs and does a jig... Katie beams at it as Star's goblet challenges mine to a wrestling match...:p

Katie skips happily into the room, first there (even before Hermione) and starts practising turning her slipper into a bunny (like it is written on the board) as people start filing in, Chiana sits in front of Katie...

K: Is you're goblet still afraid of hights? chuckles

Star walks in and sits beside Chiana as Chiana takes out a shaking goblet

S: I never thought that transfiguring a goblet would give it emotions... must be in the spell...

'Herbert' (:rolleyes: ) trembles even more, knowing that the chandelier is right above 'him'
K: looks up at the chandelier Well, I guess I can't laugh.. I am afraid of heights myself...

Professor McGonagall looks up... having adressed Katie, but Katie was listening to the conversation... bad descision, she finally pays attention when McGonagall shreiks:
MG: Katie Bell! Ten points from Gryffindor for not paying attention in class! I will repeat myself once more or you will find yourself facing detention!
The class starts sniggering
MG: Now would you kindly put on this glove, points to a glove beside a box on the desk, and pass out these hedgehogs!
Blushing, Katie puts on the glove, picks up the box and starts passing out hedgehogs to groups of two, then she walks back up to the desk, puts the box down and slaps the glove down inside it
MG: Now would you please choose a partner like you notice the rest of the class has done!
Katie turns to Star, but she has already partnered up with Chiana, Katie scowls and goes to the only person left in class, Neville Longbottom and starts taking turns trying to turn her hedgehog into a pincushion, she succeeds and turns it back to give Neville some more tries then sits back, arms crossed, casting evil glares at Star and Chiana, who are now giggling over their hedgehog, that now has pins instead of quills...

Star final gets the spell right and starts giggling becuase it looks like Draco with blackheads. :D
Star:Maybe we should do that to draco.:)

Katie would have laughed out loud, but she wants to make sure Chiana and Star know that she is mad, so she starts to raise her hand to tell Professor McGonagall...

S: Katie, what are you doing? I thought you hated Malfoy, you can get him back for knocking you off your broom in quidditch!

K: Yes, that was really unfair, but I got a penalty and scored.

C: And then when Hooch wasn't looking he grabbed your nose saying he thought it was the snitch... you had a horrible nosebleed for most of the game after that until Wood Called a time out!

Katie considers, then McGonagall notices her hand

MG: Yes, Miss Bell?

K: Uhh, what was the incantation again?
Chiana and Star beam and after McGonagall tells Katie she should pay even more attention, for it is on the board, she leans forward
K: OK, what are we going to do?

Star:We're going to give him blackheads in the great hall.That way they won't be able to tell who did it.:D

Once again, someone in the class is being very inatentive... not Katie this time, Katie hears McGonagall call Stars name and sits back, Star, BF and Chiana still discussing the plan they were chatting about and Katie puts her feet on the table doing best she can to make sure they don't know what I heard so I could get back at Star...

MG: Stardust!! What is with you guys today! Ten more points from Gryffindor... It'll be Fifty if I have to see this behavior again! Now would you please put on the glove and collect the hedgehogs from each pair!

S: Sorry, Professor.

Katie, satisfied, sits there with a sneer on her face and waits until Star is done picking up hedgehogs from singgering groups that she calls them even...

K: Sorry, mate... still grinning

Star mutters something like 'whatever' and walks to the Great Hall with Katie, Chiana and BF where they will attack Malfoy...

K: I dunno... what if he suspects us?

C: Nah, he'll think it's Harry Potter...

C: Thats the only problem though...I wouldn't want to get Harry and the others into a riff with Malfoy...well we turned him into a squirrell already...he WILL know it was us.

K: How?

C: Easy, I'll tell him :D

Katie looks worried... once again... the Malfoys aren't the best people to hex!

K: I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind, he's as absent minded as you, you could get me expelled, for the first time in my life I will agree with Malfoy that it's a bad descision to hang out with a Weasley!

C: Fine then! Go! See what I care! Why the Sorting Hat put you in Gryffindor I don't know, you are pathetic!

Chiana pulls out her wand and finds BF as Katie stalks off to go have a chat with Hagrid

Xaz wakes up with a start from the corner of the Transfiguration classroom where he had been having a bit of a snooze. Stretching, he looks around and then blinks, noticing the classroom is deserted.

X: "Gosh, where did everyone go? I didn't think I was asleep for that long!"

The hedgehog Xaz had been given for class taps its foot on the desk, attracting Xaz's attention.

Hedgehog (in a tremendous deep tenor with gusto): "Ohhhh, they have gonnnnne... To the Great Haaalllllll... for DINNNNNNNERRRRRRRRRR!"

Xaz grins.

X: "Thanks, pal! I'm not sure I'll ever get the hang of this Transfiguration thing.. instead of making you into a pincushion, I've given you a fantastic singing voice!"

The hedgehog gives Xaz a look suggesting that he really doesn't mind, and fancies that he probably would like this better than being a pincushion anyways. Xaz peers out the window, noticing a horde of milling girls just below it, looking up trying to figure out who exactly was doing that marvellous singing. Xaz grins again.

X: "Hey, need an agent mate?"

BF grabs Katie and pulls her close

"Hey, hey, let's slow this owl down a bit, ladies... "

She grabs Chiana, too

"First of all, no one's telling Draco anything and secondly, no one is getting expelled!"

BF rolls her eyes at them

"Didn't Gred and Forge teach you anything? The whole point of pranking is to avoid being caught so you can live to prank another day!"

She waves the other three out into the hall to avoid prying eyes and sets up a diagram on the wall next to the arch

"Draco won't know what hit him! 'Why?' you ask? Because we'll hit him as everyone leaves the Hall. Chaos, racousness, hands waving... what better environment could we ask for?"

BF winks and pulls a vile-looking vial of pus-colored potion out of her bag

She strolls back into the Great Hall, then turns, holding up a finger

Katie looks more worried than ever... almost in tears from the risk, for the fact that Umbridge is getting vicious, she walks up to the table and starts eating.

The commotion starts as everyone starts leaving the Hall and Star spots Malfoy with his idiot cronnies as he slaps his hand to his forehead and screams and Pansy Parkinson lets out a scream of laughter... he was obviously impersonating Harry Potter, Katie nods, still dreadfully worried and they attack when no one is looking... all screaming a different hex at the same time as awful boils start popping up in Mafoys face... he starts screaming as Pansy starts crying and she rushes him to the Hospital Wing. Malfoy as good as he is with pain starts wimpering as Madame Pomfrey rushes him to a bed. He turns to Umbridge who has just entered...

M: It was Katie Bell! I saw her guilty face, I should have su-suspected her...

U: Thank you Mr. Malfoy, fifteen points to Slytherin... I will see to it that she is punished...

Umbridge walks to the Gryffindor Tower with her normal but ugly satifsfied grin, the fat lady has no choice but to give her the password and she waks in and seizes Katie by the wrist, Katie was naturally worried and at that she burst into tears...

U: Ha! Caught red-handed, knew what was coming, yes dear, you are in trouble!

K: B-b-but... BUT!

U:No excuses can get passed me, you have cursed Malfoy and been caught... off to my office we go for a... chat...

[I]She yanks Katie forward, but all Katie does is collapse and sob into her hands... the whole Common Room looking at either Umbridge or Katie, Chiana and Star standing there horrified by BF...[I/]

K: BF, do something, you said you'd cover for us!

Filch burst in, flustered. Umbridge gets up.

"The-the students... zombies... po-potion... transformed!"

"Oh no! Run and get Professor Snape, Filch."

Filch leaves, Mrs. Norris nowhere in sight. Umbridge looks over at Katie, then heaves a sigh

"Go back to your common room. See Professor McGonnegal Friday to serve a detention."

Back in the various common rooms, but Gryffindor specifically:

"Oh my god!"

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!"

"M-mommy... "

BF smirks as she watches most of the Gryffs lurch about the common room. Her potion had worked perfectly. Nearly everyone had been turned into zombies.

Everyone else was terrified and close to stampeding. Now for that final touch.

She slipped under a table, then projected her voice at on a zombified student

"BrAinS... Me wANTs bRaiNs..."

That does the trick. Anyone not a zombie panics and run out the portrait toward the Great Hall. BF grabs Star and Chiana as she passes them.

They shelter in an arch to intercept Katie.

"I toldja."

K: Thank you so much... I had a feeling I'd be expelled...

K: Yes, but you are awfully proud. Katie nudged Chiana in the shoulder as BF blushed at her own genius

C: Are they gone?

BF and Star pop their head about the corner, then turn back to look at Chiana

BF shook her head and shrugged as if the situation was not that drastic

BF: Nah, the potion will only last about an hour or so.

Star grinned and supressed a laugh herself

Katie walks into the Transfiguration Classroom once more, couldn't be happier. She sits down and takes out her wand and her snail, which she is to make disappear, thinking nothing culd go wrong, when Malfoy comes over and drawls at her...

M: You think you got away with that didn't you? Well, you'll be sorry, you don't know what you got yourself into. Malfoy sneers

K: Well, your sources wont work, Umbridge is gone, to a place that doesn't concern you, and your father can't do much because I have been keeping contact with Dumbledore.

Chiana and Star both turn around and look at Katie with surprised looks

M: Where's Dumbledore?! I KNEW SOMEONE LIKE YOU WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIM!

K: I don't know, we just keep in touch, I need a source of comfort and he's the one to do so.

M: I'll get you to tell some time...

K: On the contrary, you can't. I told you, I have no clue whatsoever of his whereabouts.

Malfoy cast Katie a suspicious look and he walks back to his table. Katie, satisfied, turns back to her snail.

C: Where is Dumbledore? How do you know?

K: Just because I let it out that I'm keeping in touch doesn't mean it's your business and like I said, I have no idea where he is.

S: Why did you say you needed a "source of comfort"?

K: I've said too much already, heaven knows what rumors Malfoy will spread about me, JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

Katie, now angry, turns back into her snail and does the spell too hard and the shell breaks in her face.

chiana pulls out her wand and points it at Malfoy's back
