My favorite band is probably deftones. My fave song of theirs in My Own Summer.
I also love Keith Urban, although I really don't like country I love his music.

Is anyone into jazz?!

well if you happen to be, I have just the person to recommend.

Name: Peter Cincotti
Age: 19

He's currently a student at NYU, he was on the Good morning show. I heard him sing just one song Sway
:swoon: wow. He's one of the best for the century I can promise you that.

If you enjoy jazz, I highly impress you give this fellow a listen

go on, give him a chance!!!!

I dont know anyone else, other than Kermit, who can pull of Rainbow Connection(jazz style mind you!)

Also, listen to Nature Boy

I've been getting into David Grey since I saw him live on Sunday, and his music, is just amazing. It's all acousticy, and just, wow. (great use of adjectives there!)

Yes, the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, is a fave! lol! :D

And Coldplay, my favourite band :notworthy

i saw them live supporting the goo goo dolls last year.

the singer climbed on top of the speaker stack for a joke and then realised he was too scared to jump down again (it was about ten feet off the ground) and did the rest of the song from up there while the security people were huddled in the corner trying to figure out how to get him down again.

in the end i think he half fell half slid down the curtains onto some butch security guard's shoulders.

was very funny.

Yeah, that's the problem with some bands, no one knows about them, so no one ever gives them a chance. I don't think a lot of people here know about them either. I saw one person at school with one of their T-shirts, but that's the only time I've ever known of someone (other than the people in my family) who knew they were out there.

And the same with a lot of the bands that I like. Like Filter, no one's heard of them, and they've been around for a while, but they're really good.

All the good music lies in classic rock. Ahhhhhhh, nothing better than putting on some Queen or Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or Van Halen. And this isn't an opinion. This is the truth. Pop is evil. Today's "punk" just sucks. Jazz is good tho. So are the blues and let's not forget the island stuff!

I have to disagree with you Shannara (but welcome anyway :) ) I don't think pop music nowadays is 'evil'... It's not actually harming anyone. I think, as long as music makes one person happy, its good :)

And Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy makes me happy! :D Best song Queen song for me. Listen to it, and imagine Sirius singing to Remus with Peter and James on backing vocals... :D

I agree that punk is getting quite stupid, yes, but I don't think pop's that bad!

, Fleurdelacour, haha, I'll see if my Dad'll let me listen to the one song (when I see him) he was a D.J. so I'll bet anyone he has the C.D. I'll make sure I pictures James, Sirius, Peter and Remus singing in it too:D :p

Ahhh....I'm stuck in a U2 moment, and I can't get out it....I'm running to stand still where the streets have no name. I feel numb trying to wake up dead man....drowning man, cause I can't live with or without you. Its a beautiful day in God's country, but I'm a stranger in a strange land and all I have is a red guitar, three chords, and the Truth....but I still haven't found what I'm looking for as I trip through your wires....into the unforgettable fire.

Just thought I'd mention that I just got into AFI. Their new album is really good but their old stuff sucks, mainly because it's just screaming into the mic, which there is a little of on this one, but much less.

Check 'em out.

If I wasn't plugged in to Red Hot Chili Peppers at the moment I would go and do just that! I was actually singing that very song for ages before I plonked on headphones to the good ol' Chilis :D. I only have their latest album because I'm a spod but it is totally rocking!!!

I love Queen. Nothing better. :D. I have too many faves, they're all rocking! I love the riff in Under Pressure, I had that in my head for like a week once :D, BoRap of course, Bicycle Race it's just so completely nutty, Don't Stop Me Now love that song, the end of Seven Seas of Rhye absolutely cracked me up the first time I heard it!!! One Vision class am I the only one who's convinced that at the end of that they go "Gimme gimme gimme gimme FRIED CHICKEN!"?!!! Innuendo, I think that's one of my super duper faves, it's just so different I love how it changes to the really fast Mexican sounding stuff *giggles*. Yeah I haven't been listening to Greatest Hits I & II the last two days :D nope, not me :D

I like Coldplay too, they're cool, also stuff like Travis and Stereophonics, now there's another rocking band. No Bon Jovi fans here? I don't really know their music actually I just have some favourite songs which are by them. Most of the UK music market is pretty pantsy these days I find, lots of nasty manufactured stuff or people who I feel care more about being famous and the lifestyle than about the music so I tend not to listen to much of it except the car radio, most of my music tastes are in musicals anyway :swoon: so who am I to comment on this stuff, I know veeeerry little about it really, I just pretend to know something :D

Void diving again....

I'm really into anything vintage right now... Listening to a lot of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fizgerald, and of course Queen and T. Rex. Then there's Franz Ferdinand who are bringing retro music to the charts :D

Although I HATE Katie Melua and Jamie Cullum... I despise them... And I don't really hate much music...

I still love my indie music, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Keane... And the beautiful Honeymoon... Though I'm not sure what category they're in...

The Streets are even growing on me :)

I'm off to V2004 this year. Anyone going to any summer festivals? We've just had Isle of Wight, and Glastonbury starts this week.

I don't know if it appeals to any of you people, but I've been really very excited the last few days in a musical sense, because I got myself a couple of tickets to see The Eagles when they come on their Australian tour in November! :D :D :D
They've always been one of my very favourite groups, and what with the infighting and so on I never thought I'd actually get the chance to actually see them play live! So very excited about getting to go, wow!!

Xaz jumps up and down on the spot grinning like an idiot.

:notworthy :swoon: :)

Hehe, my dad is obsessed with The Eagles... He plays them constantly in the car... He's never seen them live though :p

I've seen Queen live... well live-ish the fact Freddie Mercury is no longer with us meant the lead singer in the west end musical did the vocals... Not the same.. :(

Way to make me feel old, dear! ;) LOL, no, I'm kidding, I know they're hardly "hip" but I just really love some of their songs and I can't wait to see them in concert. Got the tickets in the mail today, so now I just have to wait until November!

Queen, that would have been pretty cool! Got to see the Queen musical, but not the actual band, although we did see Ben Elton outside the theatre after the musical which was neat. :)

Only five-ish months to go, hope I can find something to do till then!

Xaz look at the calendar, then at his watch, then sighs and taps his foot on the ground before looking at the calendar again.

;) :D
